PROCEDURE

Ranking amongst the top architecture courses in India, Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning has a thorough selection process for applicants who seek to become students of GCAP. While the selection procedure is stringent, there is no differentiation. GCAP reaches out to everyone in society, from all walks of life, to help them achieve their dream. 

Based on the eligibility, candidates may apply to the Principal, Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning, in the prescribed format only. With the application, the applicants must submit all their certificates and testimonials as necessary.

The last date for submission of applications shall be notified on the college notice board. The merit list and waiting list shall be announced 15 days after the last date for submission of application. Aggregate marks obtained at the qualifying examination shall have a weightage of 50% and scores of the aptitude test shall have a weightage of the balance 50%. This will give us the merit position of the candidate.

Standard reservations as per Government and University norms shall apply for Caste reservations/ Defense quota/Central Govt. employees/NRL/Foreign students/Management seats. For all of the mentioned reservation categories, all the norms of eligibility apply. In case of non-availability/non- eligibility of candidates for the NRI or Foreign Students category, the vacant seats shall be added to the management seats category, subject to eligibility. In case of the reservation category, if a candidate is not available/not eligible, then such quota shall be offered to the next reservation category, if candidates are not available/not eligible and the seats remain vacant under the reservation category, seats shall be offered to the open category quota.
