1. When is the Aptitude Test conducted?
The date will be put up on the college notice board. Ranking among the top architecture courses in India, Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning has a thorough selection process for candidates who want to avail an admission in architecture. The aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall have a weightage of 50% and the score of the aptitude test shall have a weightage of 50%, for working out the merit position of the candidate.

2. Is the Aptitude Test compulsory?
Yes, the aptitude test is compulsory. No candidate, including those from the management quotas, PIO, or foreign students, shall be admitted to any architecture college unless he or she qualifies the aptitude test.

3. What are the minimum qualifications for admission?
Candidates seeking admission should have passed their Higher Secondary Examination (XII) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, or two or three Year Diplomas (any stream) recognized by the Central or State Government. Including NATA and CAT score.

4. Can one transfer their admission from one Architecture College to another Architecture College?
Yes, it is possible to have the transfer, provided one can produce a no objection certificate from the earlier institute and given that one has passed in all subjects in the examinations without any backlog. It is possible within India provided the equivalence criterion of the universities is met.

5. What is the intake capacity of GCAP?
The intake capacity of GCAP is 80 seats for candidates eligible for the course.

6. Are hostel accommodations and other amenities available?
Yes, hostel accommodations & other amenities are available as provided by the college. (T&C applies)
